Oh joy, abc family has yet another cheesy (mmm cheese) show. Im talking about Huge. I don't watch any of the other shows on that channel such as "make it or break it" or "secret life of the american teenager". So Huge, it came on about 3 weeks ago, its about a fictional fat camp " camp victory". (Please lets name a fat camp where pretty much none will lose enough weight to be the "skinny" them they want to be camp victory. more like camp youmakemewannaturncannabalistic") (oh and btw I am a fat chick) Anyway, so here I was thinking oh hey maybe this will be a good show, but then I saw who was in it. Instead of getting unknowns, to make the show more "realistic" they hire Nikki Blonsky and Hayley Hasselhoff. The problem I have with this is, is hte fact that Nikki was in hairspray a "feelgood" movie about her and her mother being overweight and finally coming to terms with it and accepting who they are (among other things but that doesnt have anyting to do with this post). Nope sorry doesnt work for me, she cant go from "Yay im fat" to ugh now im in fat camp and my and my fat are bffs but secretly i hate it. Hayley hasselhoff plays the skinny fat chick.......THE SKINNY FAT CHICK, and not only that they made it so pretty much every guy likes her. seems like that happens in every show, the guys go for the skinny chick. ugh. Also she makes money for being a "plus size model" for torrid (or atleast im pretty sure she is), so that doesnt work for me either. (torrid is an AWESOME store though). so its late and im going to stop here and I didnt even scratch the surface of this rant. all well, mayhaps my next post will be happier.....G'nite.
They made Barbie into a video camera. Tell me that is not a creepy idea for a toy. " oh hi im barbie i have a giant hole in my chest made (badly) to look like a necklace. plus her zebra print and metallic pink outfit is "super rad". pssssssssh. I just think this is a bad idea.
